Merry Christmas Everyone!

Well here we are 4 days before Christmas. Keith and I are so excited about Christmas this year. The time just flew by and before we knew it there were only 10 days until Christmas! SO we decided we needed to get a little move on our shopping. Usually we are so proud of ourselves for having it all done before the 2nd week of December. This year we fought the crowds with a Jolly Ol St. Nick smile on our faces trying to make the best of it. Today I still have to run out for a few last minute stocking stuffers. Almost done!

We had what we are going to call "Our First Annual Christmas party" this year. We hade so much fun we decided (with the request of our guests) to make it a Christmas tradition! We had 6 of our closest friends over and had a fabulous time! We indulged in yummy appeasers, tasty drinks, and about 3 hours of catch a phrase and cranium. Let me tell you those games are a lot harder then you think after you have had a few peppermint martinis! ;) We just can't wait until we can do it all over next year!

Month of May

Well here we are at the end of May and time is just flying by! Here are a few updates on what has been going on with our little Family!

Mason Has grown so much! At 8 months he is 67 lbs. and still thinks he is a lap dog. Keith convinced me to get a pool out off the neighbors trash so Mason could play in it. So I finally broke down and got it. Lets just hope we can do better for our kids! Every evening Mason jumps up on the foot of the bed and watches "According to Jim" with us. Then off to the floor for the rest of the night. Next on our plate for May... Keith joined a Soccer team with our neighbor Dustin games are on Sundays. I am going to start playing Volleyball again on Thursdays with our other neighbor Mindy. Mindy and Dustin live 2 houses down from us. They are really fun to be around.

Next up..... Our first garden! Now we haven't quite put forth the time and effort to have a in ground garden, but we still have one! We have strawberries (if the birds would stop eating them), mint (for ice tea, the perfect summer drink), tomatoes, and jalapenos. This fall we are planning on building a real garden. Oh and while I was at SAMS I found the coolest thing ever and it sure would make building a garden much easier!! Its a Garden Kit.....complete with irrigation, mulch, water hose, a cute little gate, and much much more! Send before midnight!! Hurry....Ahh I get so excited!

Last Month I quite my job and started my own Interior Design company! "Jackie Newsome Interior Design" It has been interesting. Lots to learn. I have 3 clients right now and one on the way! I am having so much fun! I love being my own boss, but I must be honest ... it is nerve racking at times... but something always comes through! Thank you Lord! You are so good to us!
I also picked up a line of Jewelry I am selling! Premier Designs! It is great stuff and not even very expensive. They really take care of their Jewelers and Hostesses. Premiers motto is God first then family then work! I like that!

Well that's all for the month of May! We will do our best to stay in touch sooner!!

We love y'all!

Wow! What a great weekend! Keith and I just returned from a great weekend with friends. We all went to Inks Lake State Park and enjoyed a little weekend camping trip! The weather was perfect and so was the company.

Here are a few things we enjoyed:
*Keith and Joey did a little fishing in the AM. While us girls just hung out and enjoyed cool morning while eating breakfast tacos.

*Took Mason with us, he had a great time! What a mess he was after swimming, chasing bugs and rolling around in the dirt. Needless to say he got a long bath when we returned home.

*Did alot of BBQing. Dinner was fantastic on Saturday night!

*Water was FREEZING! Not much swimming. Just sat our chairs in the shallow end and put our feet in to cool down!

*Met lots of new Friends.

*Campfires and smores (or shomres as Shannon would call them! LOL)

*A Sunday morning (3AM) wind storm. We are talking 30 mph winds and tents leaning WAY over.

*Friendly goodbyes and a nice drive home.

Enchanted Adventures!

Last month Keith & I went on a long, over do adventure. We headed up to Enchanted Rock with two of our favorite people, Shawna and Paul Dixon. It was mine and Shawna's FIRST time to ever visit the park! We hiked around and enjoyed the scenery. Keith and Paul thought it would be fun to do a little CLIFF HANGING!! This was not planned....Shawna and I were starting to get a bit worried when the two of them resurfaced and had two BIG grins on their faces( a grin that absolutely reflected the feeling of "Holy Crap!! We totally almost lost it!). We had such a great time hanging out with friends and hiking around. We took Mason along with us, he was such a trooper. After we finished up at the park we headed back to Fredricksburg for a little lunch at Auslanders. We enjoyed the local German food and a round of Auslanders famous Sunshine beer, I don't even care for beer but I'll drink a glass of this stuff (Its amazing what a slice of orange will do to the taste of a ice cold glass of beer)! We had a great Saturday spend with great friends!

Shawna, Jackie & Mason at the top of the rock!

So here it is the 3rd day of March and I am just now posting some of our Christmas pictures......I had a feeling things would get crazy and our poor blog would be forgotten. Christmas was great and even Mason got to open a few gifts. We received way more than we needed and were very thankful for all our blessings. We were so excited to decorate our first Christmas tree (well I a bit more then Keith...hehe) and it turned out great!!

Mason did so good opening his gifts. We thought he would just love his new racket balls.....we then realized he's a DOG and all he wanted was the shiny paper covering the balls as he took of and WOULD NOT surrender the goods!!!!

He's almost got it......

and he's off!!!

Keith and I spent a few weekends at the ranch this winter. We love going out there and just goofing off! Just hanging out with mother nature and the soaking up all the fresh air. This hunting season I shot my first deer! It was a HUGE....spike. (ha got your hopes up for a HUGE buck") nope Keith would not allow it. He said "no big bucks on your first hunt...It will ruin you, you wont have much to look forward to on future hunts"..... (I tend to disagree a little). Well maybe next year I'll get the big one! Oh and by the way, the whole deer gutting thing...pretty sick and it smells nasty if you pop the stomach. (what can I say, it looked as if there was a baby deer in there.)

Well I promise to have an update on future events sooner then every 2 months! Life just flies by when your having fun!!
